Established in 1927, Piper Plane is a Vero Beach, Florida-based producer of typical aviation plane. It is considered to be one of general aviation construction’s “Big Three.” From its founding through the end of 2009, Piper has produced over one hundred forty thousand airplane, of which ninety thousand are still in active flying service. The business’s most likely finest understood as the producer of the J-3 Cub. To begin with expected for flight instruction, the Cub became one of the greatest recognized and most popular light aircraft ever before constructed. William Piper chose an economical airplane that might promote an passion in aviation. As a result, it’s typically been compared to the Design T. The L-4 edition was used extensively by the UNITED STATE military during Globe War II and Korea. Today, leisure aviators and bush pilots continue to require modernized and up-graded variations of the Cub.
Beyond the J3, today’s Piper line up consists of the Warrior. The Piper Warrior is a single-engine, piston driven airplane considered a “low-wing” airplane that makes a great aircraft for sale. Is the Piper Navajo a good airplane? Looking into one and looks real nice. but i want some advise perhaps something better you can think of??
It totally depends on what you are planning to do with it. Not only should the aircraft fit your budget for purchase price, insurance, operating costs and maintenance cost, it should be well-suited to its intended role. If you’ve already figured that out and the Navajo is the right airplane for your needs, then look into the Cessna 402 / 421 series as well.
It’s a nice airplane, but fairly expensive to operate for what you get. You can purchase the airplane much more cheaply than other airplanes in it’s class, but you’ll probably spend quite a bit more on maintenance to keep it flying.
nope.. never seen that… I was in a private plane once that crashed… I was only 17 yrs old and our neighbor took us up for a flight. We landed about 90 miles from home to get some lunch. When we came out to take off again the pilot read the wind sock wrong and tried to take off with the wind. We hit the lights at the end of the runway, rolled about 100 yrds across a field and landed upside down in a ditch.
So sorry to hear of the fatalities. Have children that love to fly. I hate to hear of crashes. Very high accident rate, sounds like they could use a control tower there. Where are you located that you are having such high winds? We had high winds today in Minnesota. Hope there was no small aircraft up here today.
That sounds terrible. I have not seen a plane crash, plenty of car crashes though, and I survived a car crash that totalled two cars. I cry when I see things like that.
Pilot Error the cause of many accidents
no, never seen that

what is the best used single engine non-light sport ifr plane under 20k? what is the best used single engine non-light sport ifr plane under 20k? I am looking to buy a used single engine plane under 20k to get my ifr cert. and build time towards my commercial. So far I have found the Piper tomahawk to be the only “real” airplane in that price range. What do you think?
A quick search of Trade-a-Plane’s web site using your figure of $20K and “IFR” as the search criteria led to two choices and about five examples. The winners are as expected: Cessna 150 and Cherokee 140. Of the two, the Cherokee will be the more stable IFR platform and the Cessna will be a little less expensive to run. Best wishes.
Come on, Chad, get serious! Cessna produces an extremely reliable aircraft. I would be looking at a Cessna 140 or 150.

need basic help with friends RC Airplane? My friend for his 14th birthday got a radio controlled airplane. More specificlly a piper Cub J3 that is electric. He has never been interested in flying but since his uncle got the airplane for him he has felt bad about not using it so he decided to give it a try. We put it together but there is one problem. He can’t figure out how to get it to even take off from the ground. There are instructions on how to make it take off from the ground in the box but he is confused by them and I have not a clue about rc airplanes. I have watched people before but have never tried myself. All I know is that the airplane is three channel and is electriclly run. Could someone clarify intructions for how to get this airplane to take off from ground?
To avoid a great deal of aggravation and costly repairs, seek out help from an experienced local RC model airplane flyer. If you still feel compelled to learn on your own, get some simulator stick time first before trying your first hand-launch in a very large open area. With a three channel radio you have basic directional control. They are the ailerons, elevator and rudder. The elevator is located on the horizontal tail surface and it’s function is to raise and lower the nose. The rudder is located on the vertical tail surface and it’s function is to turn the nose left and right. The ailerons are located on the trailing surface of the wing and it’s function is to raise and lower the wing. Ailerons are used in conjunction with the rudder to turn the airplane. To takeoff or climb, accelerate the airplane along the runway, when sufficient speed is reached apply aft pressure on the elevator, causing the nose to rise and the airplane to climb. I hope this helps.
